Joseph Berenstain

Joseph was a teddy bear for his first Halloween.

Sarah - note that the porch table in the background has cracker jack popcorn on it... ;)

I call him little Joseph Berenstain. Not because I thought he would make a great teddy bear. Not because I thought it would be especially clever. No, Joseph was a teddy bear because I have an aversion to buying things and he already had a fuzzy bear hoody and bear footie pjs that worked perfectly together... What can I say, I'm cheap. I'm fully prepared to accept any Halloween costume hand-me-downs available to me next year... and the year after that... until my kid starts caring about what he is for Halloween.

I love that the footies on his teddy bear pjs have a J for the nose and mouth! Now, please prepare yourself for cuteness overload...

No, really, you might want to sit down for this...

It's too much. I can't take it.

AWWWWWWW. It's disgusting how cute he is in that last picture.

I had so much fun painting his little nose. He alternated between trying to grab the pencil and giving me a perturbed "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING, MOM?!?!" look. It probably tickled.

Just when you think he can't possibly get any chubbier...

This is the intent gaze of a veteran car watcher. He could watch vrooming vehicles go by our front porch for hours.

Then I gave him his pumpkin and got Daddy to make faces and say things like, "Do you like cookies and pizza??" in a Sesame Street Grover voice. That sure got his attention away from those cars!

He thinks his daddy is hilarious. That's because he doesn't know any better yet ;).

He's started using his B sounds now too. He makes the funniest faces when saying "ba ba ba ba!"

And, what would Halloween be like without some stylin' 3D glasses?

I know I'm biased, but I think he's the cutest Berenstain there ever was! Way cuter than Sister or Brother for sure!

I LOVE the makeup! And I'm so impressed that you didn't feel the need to go buy a costume. You are all that is woman!
