A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving

First, I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving weekend! May all of your bellies be filled with massive quantities of turkey and pie!

Second, I apologize for my prolonged absence from the blog world. I'd like to say that I've been absent because I've been busy, but the truth is that I haven't felt like blogging or had much to blog about. You may kick me if you like. I promise to return to regularly scheduled blogging on Monday. Pinky swear.

And, finally, I recently introduced Joseph to the joys of being buried amidst fallen leaves. He liked the leaves, but I think he wanted them to taste better. Of course, I took a gajillion pictures. These pictures are for my father-in-law, who always enjoys a good Peanuts comic. So, without further ado, meet Charlie Brown.

See the resemblance?? All he needs is a a curly cue on his forehead.

He's responsible for Thanksgiving dinner this year.

"But, MOM!!!  I can't cook a Thanksgiving dinner. All I can make is cold cereal and maybe toast."

Bwahahaha! Peanuts! Get it??

"Mommy thinks she's SOOOOOO funny..."

"Hey, Mom? Can we get a Turkey Tree for Thanksgiving??"

"Umm..."

Unfortunately, I don't own a football or a baseball mitt or a beagle. Weird, right? Joseph was so sad. He really wanted to find out what pig skin tastes like.

Instead, he consoled himself by trying to discover what pumpkin skin tastes like.

"Aaauuugh!!!"

Apparently, pumpkin skin can't compete with cold cereal or toast...

"Good grief, Mom! Why are you taking pictures of my shoes???"

Because they are so freaking adorable! Duh!
