I hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend!! We had a parade, an auction, a carnival, and fireworks - all within a block of our house. I love living in a small town.
I also spent the weekend playing around with my camera. I'm trying to stop using the automated settings so that I get better at using the manual settings. I took a lot of random detail shots - so this post is going to be somewhat random. You could say that the shots are loosely tied together by the theme "America."
For the parade, we sat on our front porch with the little guy and some of our friends from the other side of town.
The little guy watched the parade with us right up until the fire trucks started honking their horns and running their sirens. Then his face crumbled into a pout. I took him inside to protect his little ears and keep him from crying. He took a nap. Ah. The life of a baby.
This old couple was my favorite part of the whole parade.
The crowd was shouting "Ricola" as they walked by.
Now for some random carnival details.
I love this little girl's dress. And we mustn't forget her spider tattoo.
beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to try a deep fried snickers. Part of me is grossed out by the idea. Part of me is intrigued.
