We were on vacation at Myrtle Beach all last week (which is why I never got around to Embracing the Camera last Thursday). Aside from having a marvelous time, it was Baby's first vacation and first dip in the ocean. Three months is plenty old enough to become a Beach Baby.
He wasn't quite sure what to make of the whole beach experience. He was ok with the ocean - as long as the larger waves didn't startle him. Then he made the I'm-going-to-panic-and-hyperventilate face.
He even went for a little walk through the surf. If you hold his hands, he likes to stand up and move his little feet. It's his favorite thing to do. He gets all smiley when you help him stand up.
He got to hold both mommy and daddy's hands.
And he got to bury his feet in the sand with mommy.
In this last picture, he's telling me all about his experience in the waves. "It was ok, mommy, but I'm still not sure I liked it."
Just wait, little guy. We'll be doing everything in our power to keep you from eating the sand next year.
What amazing memories! Great pics!
ReplyDeleteHOW did I miss those swim trunks??? They're hilariously awesome with his diapered bum! :)
