We spent the beginning of the day working on the house. We grilled burgers, threw on some cheese, and enjoyed our small town's parade from the comfort of our rocking chairs on the front porch!! Amazing! We didn't have to go anywhere! The parade came to us! And, we could see over everyone's heads. Even this lady's:
It was so great!
And the parade was full of candy throwers, fire engines, tractors, horses, vintage vehicles, cub scouts, Civil War maidens, the coolest bus ever, and, my personal favorite, men on riding lawn mowers doing donuts!
Then we napped until it was dark enough to start blowing up our little town. The best part about our fireworks? We watched them lying on a blanket on the porch roof! Again, amazing! It was a nice day!
