This little fellow flew at the Professor's head last night when he got up to get a glass of water. We had left the entrance to attic uncovered, thinking we were safe from bat invasion. Nope. The invasion began shortly after we went to bed. We locked him away in the kitchen/dining room area last night and trapped him this morning with a pitcher and piece of cardboard. Bats are much more compliant and sedate during the day. They're sleeping and prefer to play dead. They don't insist on flying around and around and around the room like they do at night.
He/She was not very pleased with us when we threw him out in the sunshine. Lots of clicking, hissing, and fang baring. The Professor interpreted for him: "You bastards! I was sleeping!" He'll live.
The attic has been resealed for now. I'll keep you posted on our next steps.
