Stuffed Present

Among the various strange and eclectic items that were in the house when we bought it, came these two marvelous stuffed creatures:

Originally, they were hanging out on top of one of the wall cabinets in the kitchen. Why does anyone need a cowgirl and cowboy stuffed animal in their kitchen?

Your guess is as good as mine.
