Door Bell Discovery

I was standing in the front entryway of our house thinking about how to make our very ugly doorbell a little easier on the eyes. Maybe spray paint? Then I realized that in between the two chimes, I could see some yellowish spots. Upon closer inspection, I realized that it's wallpaper that was never painted over!

It sort of looks like goldish fleur de lis or maybe vines? Not sure. I'm not about to try stripping the wallpaper in the hallway. It's holding the plaster walls together nicely. I'll just joing the club and paint over it. I'll do a better job than the previous owners though!
